Salvation Army gets to grips with winter weather
The Salvation Army has a long history of helping vulnerable people – and here at Ice Grips we thought that one good deed deserved another.
So, we made our own small contribution to their excellent work by providing the organisation’s Aberdeen branch with 20 free pairs of Ezyshoes ice grips.
The ice grips have already helped Salvation Army Officers and volunteers bring Christmas cheer to the needy, and will continue to be used throughout the winter months as the volunteers brave wintery conditions in the quest to help others.
Scotland was one of the few places to experience significant snow fall this winter, and it might not be finished yet!
Captain Alex Cadogan, Salvation Army Church Leader, explained the significance of the donation: “We are out and about in all kinds of conditions, delivering food parcels, Christmas presents and visiting the elderly and housebound in their homes.
“And of course, our Salvation Army bands cheer up the Christmas shoppers in cold conditions.
“The kind-hearted souls at icegrips.co.uk have made a fabulous donation which means we can continue our work – no matter what the weather is like.”
